Sungei Tampines was once a simple concrete canal that lay beside Tampines Eco Green. Currently, it is being transformed into a lush, vibrant waterway through usage of soil bioengineering techniques, canal engineering and ABC Waters design features such as vegetated swales and rain gardens. The design also integrates HDB’s Neighbourhood Renewal Programme, enhances the existing Park Connector Network (PCN) and blurs the line with Tampines Eco Green for a more integrated approach to water management.
