At Greenridge, the garden includes WSUD water design features such as rain gardens and constructed wetlands where students can walk in and interact with the landscape. Lookout decks are built for an outdoor classroom experience for the students to observe, inquire and learn from nature.  To inquire is a significant quality especially when the students are learning science. Other than benefitting them academically, the garden also serves a respite and also help create empathy within the students for the nature around us.  The intention is to create an environment for the students to seize the opportunity to learn outside of the classroom.
